Nature and active outings: from Barranco Blanco to the Caminito del Rey

Your villa sits right between the coast and the mountains, and it shows: within an hour's drive you reach waterfalls, gorges and nature parks. Just outside high season, in the mild autumn and spring, the walking weather is at its best.

Barranco Blanco (± 20 min)

A natural spot with small waterfalls and clear water, close to your villa. Ideal for a short walk, to cool off in the warmer months and to enjoy the quiet away from the crowds.

Caminito del Rey (± 50 min)

A spectacular walkway along steep cliffs and narrow paths near El Chorro. For anyone wanting something more active, it's a unique experience. Be sure to book your tickets well in advance, as the route is often fully booked weeks ahead.

El Torcal de Antequera (± 50–60 min)

A unique nature reserve with striking limestone formations. You walk among bizarre rocks, enjoy sweeping views and find yourself in a completely different landscape from the coast. Do wear sturdy walking shoes.

Closer to home

Not in the mood for a long drive? Around Alhaurín el Grande itself you can walk straight into the green Guadalhorce valley, among the orange and olive groves, or up into the Sierra de Mijas. Calm and nature are right on your doorstep.
